| People have been confusing Martial Arts with
Self Defense mainly because the main goal of
both is to defend and protect oneself.
Martial Arts focus on the Perfection of
the following skills - Balance, Power, Speed, Accuracy, Timing,
Co-Ordination, Breathing, Chi, etc
needed to implement the Deadly Techniques
that have been developed and practiced by
Martial Artists all over the world.
Training in martial arts leads to the
overall development of the practitioner -
Spiritually, Mentally and Physically.
While Self Defense Training focuses on
just how to save oneself by any method which
ranges from Playing with the Mind of the
attacker to implementing a
few effective techniques (borrowed from
Martial Arts with or
without the proper development of any of the
above mentioned requisites as needed by a
martial artist.) |
